Sometimes I wander to sort my headspace, sometimes to clear it - a reset of sorts. No matter the reason, the settings always seem to lend themselves to inspiration. My surroundings, whether I’m tucked among the trees in the woods, walking a path along the edge of the sea, or moving over the cobblestone streets of Portland, they draw me in.
I find myself absorbing the sights and smells around me, letting each detail steady my thoughts and open up space for whatever comes next.
Sometimes I take photographs as small acts of preservation, a way to reclaim a moment so it can inspire me again when I need it most. I tend to find my inspiration in the world around me, and this is where my ideas begin - this is where I feel the most creatively alive.
